Yes, Midnight will find currency pair by cutting all suffixes and prefixes and you should see “Detected symbol = USDCHF”. You can try to make backtest and you will see.

Yes. That’s why I wrote you to make backtest and then you’ll see.

I am using the VPS server inside MT4 on MQL5 as they have great pings to exchange and only USD10.00 per month. The problem is since the news filter was added they don’t seem to trade. I have added the allow URLs on my local MT4 and synced everything bit I can’t see if they have been added to the MQL5 VPS? Using the MQL5 VPS is so quick and easy.

as regards News I don’t understand which is the recommended filter, the one that maximizes the returns reaching the best balance between risk reduction and missed opportunities.
All possible impact, Medium & High or Highest?

4xlee also shared his results and wrote that he did not trade for two days after the speeches. Can you argue?

Hi Dominik, as you suggested I have been using the strategy tester this weekend to look at the latest version v2.3b. I must admit I am a little bit disappointed with the results. The main problem with the original version – lots of small profits being wiped out by a few huge losses – still seems to be present.

For example, below are the results of last week with USDCHF, and as you can see, it closed two trades with small profits, and two with large losses. I am interested to know if anyone on the board traded USDCHF last week and what the actual live results were? Because I really don’t know if I can trust backtesting or not.

From Dave test I regret to note that large losses concern trade closed the next day. In this regard, I and others had already suggested to consider the possibility of closing all orders before the opening of London and other European sessions.
The problem in fact seems to materialize with brekout the next day:
– If the breakout is in the direction of trade, it closed with a small profit
– If the breakout is in the opposite direction of trade, it closes in SL with a large loss
My feeling is that the closure of all orders before breakout will solve the problem. Probably the % of winning trades will reduced, but the balance is expected to improve

Seems that dailyfx NewsFilter is working well. Screenshot it’s form v2.3B. I’m overwriting new versions.
Now it would be very nice to make setup for BlockTrading [xx] minutes before News and UnlockTrading [xx] minutes after News. Is it possible with current EA logic?

I’ve been out of the Midnight loop for a week or two. At my last contact I had Midnight V2.2b and sets for about 4 pairs. Have there been any further developments?

Dominik please add option to turn on/off panel on the chart. I have problems with migration to mql5 vps. Probably it’s a problem with memory because charts with EAs are saving at first to memory then it’s migrating to vps.

I migrating several EAs and MT4 termianl is crashing at 1st chart that Midnight is loaded, I suppose that it’s a problem with panel on chart (memory allocation), panel chart is not needed on mql5 vps, after migration I’m closing all charts.

Last night with news filter on (most restrictive option) only couple symbols were allowed to trade but no trade was taken. Running on live forex4you cent account.

Anyone else had same results?
