Mr Dominik!
Even though I was an idiot (and was acting like one as well) during our last chat I am still on your side. Please accept my public apologies and
if you wish to accept my private that I sent you quite some time ago please do! Best regards!~g
ps – I actually did end up reading the stuff you recommended and my confusion which was really caused by info. overload was quickly subdued!
04.05.2017 at 08:51 #5081vizurSpectatorHello Dominic
I purchased Your Midnight EA with very nice looking equity curve for different pairs.
Looks like hard job has been done. I turned Midnight EA on real account for 4 pairs so far.In parallel I try to test it in Strategy Tester. So far a short test but I suspect I set something wrong
or my time range for test is too short.Could You help ?
best regards

use 99% quality data for backtests. Here are 2 software that you can use: Tick Data Suite v2 and Tickstory both can expot to MT4 99% quality data ticks from Dukascopy. Big adventage of Tick Data Suite v2 is that it can simulate Veriable Spread (like most ECN acounts) and Slippage, you can download free 14-trial. Tickstory is using fixed spread and can’t simulate slippage.

Thanks.This with dominik set??
05.05.2017 at 07:47 #5087vizurSpectatorHi
For Midnight EA I used default set – screenshot in previous post.
Changed only “GMT_OFFSET_FOR_TESTING” to 2 (because this is the current difference
between time in Poland and UTC). The rest of parameters I have not touched.I also downloaded proper data with Tickstory Lite.

Jarema05.05.2017 at 13:49 #5088vizurSpectatorHi All
My midnight EA opened such a trade last night on AUDNZD.
It’s still opened. Do You have such a trade also opened on this currency pair ?Another question is – does Midnight EA closes all the trades by itself before
weekend? Or it keeps opened trades till monday. I’m asking because on the
weekend there are Elections in France so there might be a gap perhaps.best regards

JaremaNo, and AUDNZD is not one of the pairs in the 8 sets. I have noticed Midnight EA always closes within 24 hours, but not sure if there is a rule in place for that.
05.05.2017 at 14:46 #5090vizurSpectatorYou’re right goldencookie001. AUDNZD is not the best pair, but it’s still on the list of 16 supported.
Backtest still looks good, not so good as for AUDCAD, but very satisfactory (attached screen below for
period: 2016.01.01 – 2017.05.03).
Good job Dominik. In case trade is not closed – I’ll close it manually tonight.
All,
do You usually close trades opened by Midnight EA on friday evening (before weekend) or You just
let EA close / handle trades by itself?regards

JaremaI have never seen a trade still open on Friday evening. As for your AUDNZD does it have a SL/TP ? I suspect so.
05.05.2017 at 15:20 #5092vizurSpectatorNo, it doesn’t have a stop loss set manually.
I’m waiting for EA to close it.05.05.2017 at 16:04 #5093AcuraSpectator@_jeronimo_ wrote:

I’m waiting for EA to close it.All of the trades opened by Midnight have a SL / TP set. I would not wait. I am not sure about your settings for that pair but you should review them as well if you
are going to keep using it. I know Dominik has done testing with the pairs that he released the .set files for and not necessarily the other pairs listed.07.05.2017 at 11:42 #5094vizurSpectatorHi
I haven’t seen the set file after I purchased EA. Can I find it somewhere?
But there are default settings for EA which are consistent with the one shown
in this Forum for Midnight EA. I changed only 2 settings which should not affect
EA that way (screenshot below).Maybe the problem was that I removed EA from the chart for a while (when order was
already opened) and applied it again – I had to restart computer. So maybe EA cannot be
turned off and on when there is already an opened trade – maybe EA loses then the trade
from the sight.Am I right Dominik or not?
best regards
