I’m stilling get the same symbol issue
Midnight EA 2.3b GBPCHF(£),M30: unknown symbol name GBPCHF(L) for OrderSend function
How do I use the Other Symbol to avoid formatting issues?
I’ve tried “Other” and then GBPCHF(£) GBPCHF(L) and GBPCHF, all give the same error

You can write to me on Skype (theinvestbay) and we will try to find some solution – if it’s possible of course.

I also hope so
I’m sorry that I didn’t published the new version yesterday as I promised, but I found something intresting in the evening. From a few days I was working on that and finally I coded function that filters out opening orders during relatively too strong and relatively too weak trend (what in any case doesn’t bode well for the ability to predict the future price movement) by counting sizes of candles in comparison to growing/falling range and by measuring proportion of sum of candles to candles real body range. My goal is to create an algorithm with the ability to auto-adaptation to market conditions. I’m still working on it and optimizing to get the best results. Today is Friday and we won’t trade for the next 3 days, so I’ll publish new version over the weekend.
Regards and have a nice weekend!

Sounds like Smart AI on Forex Market, I don’t know if someone before did something like this, but for sure it would be nice to test it.

10.03.2017 at 13:44 #4954traderfifteenSpectatorSorry I am new here. As a paying customer from MQL5 where can one download the latest Midnight version and presets? I’d like to run some 99% backtests and try it on demo. Thank you.

Yes, I can always attach newest version to last post and to post number 1. I’m working now on algorithms and code, settings for the different pairs will come as next. It would be best if the Midnight could adapt to the market situation by itself (without any fixed values), but it still requires a lot of work.

We should test and see the stats on every pair and select best ones. Most important is the R/R ratio. If you can decrease that to around 2:1 (and not 10:1 like in the published version) that would be the best accomplishment. Winning 2 trades to make up for one loss is ok but winning 11 trades (for 10 losses + costs) is totally another. For me if I see such a large loss (10x than a win) I simply just remove the EA because I know logistically it will be impossible to catch up. Even if the EA can get out at a reasonable loss like ….. does in a losing trade – that would be acceptable before the full SL is hit. So my hope is that this has been fixed. Thanks for your help.

Of course, 10:1 is just ridiculous. R:R even in second version of Midnight was completely different than in first one (published on MQL), so there’s nothing to compare now. It’s better to focus on new version which became sth like new product, but based on same time window and similar assumptions. From the time of publishing first version, I published many another versions and in each one there was some improvement leading to minimize losses. Product is still under development, but it goes in a good direction.
Have a nice weekend!
