Hi,
thank you for the answer.
I am very surprised by your backtests. I have done some and found the Price Action EA to be barely profitable on several consecutive years. I still have to download tick data to be able to run better quality backtests though. By the way why don’t you provide high quality tests instead of n/a quality ? I will post my results here as soon as I have high quality enough tests.Kind Regards
My MT4 shows “n/a”, but real modelling quality is 99,9%. Ticks are downloaded from Dukascopy through Tickstory.
That is curious. When I used tickstory I always had 99.9% shown. Usually, as the team says, if we don’t have this it means the files are overwritten and that we don’t use the tick data. Are you absolutely sure your backtests use tickdata ?

Hello Dominik,
are the .set files you provide exactly the same for 4 and 5 digit account ?Kind Regards
Hi!
Unfortunately .set files are made for 5 digit accounts. For 4 digit account you must change all parameters which are in points to pips, for example from 20 to 2.
Regards!
Hello, I would appreciate if you could send as an example a .set file for a 4 digit account because I have some doubts. Some EAs seem to require lot changing as 0.01 on a 5 digit is 0.1 on a 4 digit, but don’t require pips value to be changed. I understood everything is in points so here I have to change every points value in pips value. But I suppose I have to change lot size as well, am I correct ?
Kind Regards

Hi!
Please contact me via Skype (theinvestbay) and I’ll write you how to make the best set for your 4 digits account, how to set proper size of order etc.

08.12.2016 at 20:06 #4672TomaszKomSpectatorHello,
I have never used Skype but I will try to learn how to use it.I am currently running your EA on USDCAD M5 on both demo and real accounts 5 digits. I use the set file you provided and the account type is supposed to be exactly the same.
I was very surprised today to see 2 successful orders closed on the demo account and one big loss on the real account. The successful orders of today december 8th were placed only on the demo account. I have been running the EA for a few days only on the real account but precedent trades of the real account were matching the trades on the demo account.Demo account is doing very well, while real account because of this strange loss is on negative profit. Could you please help me understand why such difference about orders can occur ?
Kind Regards

Hi.
Sorry for late answer. I was very busy (but I’m on Skype as always).
First question, what is the type of your real account (ECN/STP/NDD or MM)? If you have account with Market Maker your orders are instant instead of market and you can have many requotes – that’s why you can have differences between demo and real account. The same problem can be with slippage and spread. By the way, if something is wrong, you should always check and compare tabs “Journal” and “Expert” on both instances of MT4 (connected to demo account and real account) and you will see where exactly these differences occured and why. Sometimes the only solution is to change broker, because trades on demo account should be exactly the same as on real account (allowed differences can be in max. few points, i.e. few 1/10 pip).
Regards!
